All
of our ministries for women have the ultimate purpose of glorifying
God, equipping women to be His disciples, loving one another
and growing spiritually. The opportunities to do this can
be accomplished in an weekly Ladies’ Exercise Class,
Bible Study, Book Club, Mom’s Time, Scrapbooking or
gathering once a month for an informal breakfast. For additional
information and dates and times that people can consult the
calendar. |

Study |

Our
home Bible study is for prayer, study and fellowship. We begin
the evening with a verse by verse discussion/examination of
biblical truth with a portion of scripture selected by the
group. After study, we have a time of sharing and prayer centered
on the needs of members of the group, as well as church or
community needs. We close our evening with a time for fellowship
enjoying light refreshments. On occasion, we gather for a
cookout or a meal together. We meet in one of the participant
homes every other week on Friday evening at 7 PM, returning
home between 9 and 10 PM. The study currently meets at the
Adams' home in Rockland every other Friday evening at 7 pm.
For anyone interested in the next meeting, call the church
office at 594-8363. |

Our
Men's Ministry has several Christ - centered purposes. Fellowship
of Christian men is a vital aspect to this ministry. Secondly,
each gathering has a message from either one of our men or
a guest speaker. By bringing family members and friends who
are not yet Christians, we hope that some will come to Christ
through seeing the gospel lived or hearing it spoken. We meet
monthly on the third Saturday and are currently meeting at
the Offshore Restaurant in Rockland. |

Once
a month the teens at First Baptist Church of Rockland get
together to fellowship, have group devotions, play games and
eat pizza! It is a great opportunity to invite and meet new
friends, and have a great time. From volleyball and basketball,
to eating marshmallows on a string, it is a good time for
everyone.

During
the morning worship service, children ages three through kindergarten
are dismissed before the sermon to attend our Children's Church

Quizzing |
|
 |
Bible
quizzing is a teen activity where you study a specific book
or books in the New Testament. After studying the required
chapters you are then quizzed over the material from that
book/books at tournaments that are held monthly. Bible quizzing
starts in September and runs through March. It is a great
way to get into God's Word and meet other Christian teens
in the Maine area. |
